Seattle Kids Weekend Events: Mar 1-3
March madness is in the air and we’ve got plenty of ways to help you kick off the mania this weekend. On our radar: an (indoor) Arctic adventure, a kids show with a cast of colorful characters, a concert that will leave you seeing purple, a fab production about a cat with magical powers, an annual festival with jam sessions and a world-premier ballet production. This weekend, you and the kiddos can also catch the Northwest Puppet Center’s production of Aladdin & the Wonderful Lamp.
Polar Science Weekend
This action-packed polar adventure will feature tons of hands-on activities for the whole fam. Build an igloo, snuggle into hooded cold-weather parkas and take the salinity taste test, plus watch a smashing ice demonstration and meet polar researchers. Yo Gabba Gabba! Live! Get the Sillies Out! (pictured)

Ridge Romp: The Purple House
This month’s Ridge Romp series with Tony Van Zeyl’s Purple House will feature lots of lyrical improvisation and crowd participation along with a few surprises! We guarantee you (and the kiddos!) will have a rockin’ good time singing and dancing to Tony’s unique spins on kid-centric songs while mixing in timeless classics. Sat., 10:30 am. Puss in Boots
In this Youth Theatre Northwest production, watch a mysterious cat use his wit, a little magic and some help from the audience to solve the mystery of Marcus’ disappearance and to restore peace to the kingdom. Tea for Ruby
