At this annual block party, enjoy tons of family fun! In addition to awesome food and entertainment, there will be a fab Kids’ Area with a bounce house, face painting, air hockey, hands-on community art project and more. Plus, there will be a beer garden (for mom and dad), burger grilling competition, food samples and vendors,  plus an outdoor showing of  School of Rock (PG-13), preceded by a performance from Seattle Rock Orchestra. The film will begin just after dusk at approximately 9 p.m.

Kid's Closet Connection is a twice yearly children's consignment sale that brings area moms together to sell their children's outgrown gently used clothing, baby furniture and equipment, toys, and books. As the new kid town, we will be smaller than our peer sales, but we plan to grow each season. Throughout the midwest and south, metro areas half our size often support twice as many sales, so we know there is room to coexist and grow. It is our 6th annual Talk Like a Pirate celebration and we have got grand opportunities for the wee mateys to enjoy. Our staff has been practicing their pirate lingo, and we have invited our pirate friends the Southworth Buccaneers to visit from 11am to 2pm! Rent a Pirate Pond Boat to sail on Lake Union Park's Model Boat Pond. These 39-inch pond boats are scale models of the R-Boat Pirate, which is on exhibit on our docks at South Lake Union. Sailing these miniature racing yachts is a great way to learn the basic concepts of sailing while enjoying time at the park. Pond Boat Sailing takes places Saturdays April-November.
