Sparkle Girls! is a social friendship group designed for second, third, and fourth grade girls interested in exploring the challenges of the social and emotional aspects of school. Girls may need support navigating social interactions or may be sensitive to the social dynamics that occur in the context of recess, free play, group projects, or the classroom. The group will support girls who tend to feel overwhelmed, victimized, or confused about social dynamics occurring among their peers.
The group is intended to provide a safe place to develop a deeper understanding of the social-emotional dynamics of elementary school interactions and learning. Through games, activities, and discussion, girls will build common language, skills, and the confidence needed to navigate social-emotional challenges at school and home. Topics include: Social thinking vocabulary and concepts, how the brain affects our learning and relationships, feelings, emotional regulation, friendship, perspective taking, and dealing with unkind behavior.
Join us Thursday afternoons (4:30-6:00), March 1- June 7, 2018. Cost: $375 for the 12 week session. For more information, email email@example.com.
