The tradition continues! Plan your visit to Carillon Point to unleash your inner pirate! The historic tall ships will make their way from Bremerton to the dock in Kirkland from Sep. 7-12.
The Lady Washington, better known as the HMS Interceptor from the Disney movie Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl, will once again be on tour. The other ship on display, the Hawaiian Chieftain, is a replica of a centuries-old merchant vessel.
During the festival, the ships will offer dockside tours and a variety of sailings on Lake Washington during their stay in Kirkland. Crew will also be on hand in period costume to answer questions, tell stories, and provide insight about life on board the ship. Enjoy a living history experience with demonstrations of tall ship handling, sea shanty singing and maritime storytelling! These unique sailing excursions offer an amazing opportunity to experience an exciting piece of history and witness amazing views of Lake Washington.
Sailing guests will embark on a two or three-hour tall ship sailing experience.
Adventure Sails and Evening Sails feature sailing as it was done for hundreds of years. Join in a sea shanty, enjoy breathtaking views and meet the modern day crew that travels the west coast. Battle sails will feature fast-paced maneuvering and live black powder cannon fire as the ships vie to win the battle.
