Sometimes I forget that Seattle has this amazing University in its own backyard. Not only does it produce smart, talented people, it also provides us with an embarrassment of riches in cultural activities. For example: the University of Washington’s World Series program.

The 2013-14 series brings together a remarkable menu of performers that spans dance, chamber music, piano, gospel and special event performances.

This year also marks their first-ever Family Series – a great introduction to the arts for children ages 7 and up.
