Seattle Kids Weekend Events: Apr. 11-13

Rain or shine, we have plenty of fun springtime activities to keep you and the little ones happy and entertained this weekend. On our radar: a fun party with the zoo animals, a popular springtime celebration at the aquarium, a nature-themed extravaganza with loads of entertainment, a rockin’ family night, and two big Easter egg hunts. This week, you can also get your Fischer scone fix on at The Washington State Spring Fair (pictured) and enjoy tons of entertainment, carnival rides, games, and animal exhibits. Plus, all kids will receive free admission on Thursday with a non-perishable food donation. Giddy-up!

Woodland Park Zoo Party for the Planet
In honor of Earth Day, take the kiddos to Woodland Park Zoo to enjoy fun conservation activities, keeper talks, animals enrichment activities and an upcycled craft contest. Plus, take an eco tour or even learn how to make paper from elephant poo (really!). Mon.-Sun., 9:30 a.m.-3 p.m. Seattle. $8.75 to $12.75 (under 2 and members free). All ages.Event details.

Marine Mammal Mania
The Seattle Aquarium is kickin’ off spring with a fun celebration. Take the kiddos to Pier 59 to learn about the furry inhabitants of the Aquarium and participate in special hands-on activities, talks, demonstrations, and plenty of good ol’ family fun. Fri.-Sun., 11:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m (also April 18-20 & April 25-27). Celebrate Urban Nature
Celebrate the arrival of spring at this annual family-friendly event. Catch a performance by nature-loving, kindie rocker Caspar Babypants and enjoy presentations by the Reptile Man and Sarvey Wildlife Care Center as well as animal encounters, a petting farm and nature-themed scavenger hunt, and much more. Sat., 10 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Seattle. $10 per family or $3 per person. All ages. Event details.

Family Night at Crossroads Bellevue
Take the fam to Crossroads Bellevue for a super-fun family night. Enjoy games, a performance by popular kindie rockers The Harmonica Pocket and Johnny Bregar, free popcorn, $1.50 off admission to WiggleWorks Kids, and more! Sat., 5 p.m.-9 p.m. Bellevue. Free. All ages. Event details.

Community Easter Egg Hunt
Get a jump-start on your Easter egg hunting by hopping over to Jubilee Reach for an egg-citing egg hunt. Kids will have a blast looking for more than 8,000 eggs and enjoying tons of prizes, face painting, inflatables and a free cookout for the entire family! Sat., 3 p.m. Bellevue. Free. All ages. The Great Community Egg Hunt
Rain or shine, you don’t want to miss this ginormous egg hunt which is going to be even bigger than last year!  BYOB (bring your own bag or basket) and hunt for 30,000 eggs and enjoy face painting and bouncy houses. Sun., 1 p.m.-2:30 p.m. Woodinville. Free. Ages 1 to 11. Event details.
