With the excitement of spring break and all things bunny-and-egg-themed in the air, it’s a fantastic weekend to get out and explore the city. On our radar: a lively production for little firefighters, a splash-tastic day in the pool, an Easter egg-stravaganza with the animals, an old-fashioned egg hunt, an Easter event at RTC and an evening hunt for the Littles. If that’s not enough egg-citement, hit the Seattle International Children’s Friendship Festival, take advantage of free entrance to all Washington state parks and national parks or hop aboard the Easter Bunny Express.

Easter Fun at Fox Hollow Farm
Hop on over to Fox Hollow Farm for this old-fashioned Easter egg hunt. Each year, Fox Hollow hides over 40,000 candy-filled eggs throughout their five acres for kids to leisurely hunt around and find. After collecting their 20-egg quota, kids can saddle up for a scenic pony ride along Issaquah Creek, zoom around on ATV’s or take time to explore the barn area and surrounding pens where they can hold baby chicks, ducklings, kittens and bunnies as well as meet all the Farm’s resident animals. Sat.-Sun. Event details.

Spring Eggstravaganza at Redmond Town Center
Grab your basket and hop over to RTC for some festive family fun! Follow the clues and collect eggs in the Easter Egg Scavenger Hunt (for the first 2000 kids), cuddle a bunny in the Petting Zoo, bounce like a Peter Cottontail in the bouncy house, enjoy snacks and crafts and get moving with an obstacle course, hopscotch, bean bag toss and many other activities. Sat., noon-4 p.m. Redmond. Free. All ages. Event details.

Spring Eggs-travaganza! Lil’ Ones Egg Hunt
No need to wake up the tots early to look for eggs when you can hop over to Mercerdale Park for this annual evening egg hunt. In addition to looking for eggs, candy and prizes, kids can visit with the Easter Bunny. Psst! Be on the lookout for golden eggs filled with “eggstra” special surprises! Got older kids? Hit the Flashlight Egg Hunt at 8:30 p.m.  Sat. Event details.
