This action-packed polar adventure will feature tons of activities for kids and parents alike. Participate in hands-on activities, watch live science shows and chat with local scientists about the poles. Dino Days
Take your budding paleontologists to the Burke Museum to see hundreds of exciting dinosaur fossils and other prehistoric creatures from the museum’s collection. During the two-day event, kids can become junior paleontologists, get their faces painted, make fossil imprints, meet real-life paleontologists and get a closer look at the tools paleontologists use out in the field and in the museum’s lab. Bellevue World Taiko Festival
This annual festival (now in its fourth year) will feature two Taiko drumming concerts with guest group Miyake Geinou Doushikai. Winter Adventure Hike
If your kid crew has cabin fever, head to the Cedar River Watershed Education Center and join a naturalist for a two-mile, fast-paced family adventure hike along the trails of Rattlesnake and Christmas Lakes.
