the scoop:

Prepare to explore windy, warm, wet and all the wild types of weather we experience through hands-on activities and demonstrations at Wild Weather Week, February 19-25.

Experience the power of wind and create something that spins, floats or flies in Tinker Tank with the ever-popular wind table; get an astronaut’s view of the earth on Science on a Sphere to discover weather patterns from all over the world; and discuss forecasting, hurricanes, droughts, rainfall and more with a Science Interpreter. Plus, experiment with making clouds, rainbows and snowflakes and have one shocking experience with a Van de Graaff generator!

Complete your visit with the IMAX documentary, Hurricane 3D. Follow the true story of a 15,000-kilometer journey in the footsteps the Atlantic Hurricane. See footage from NASA as the Atlantic Hurricane begins its journey in Senegal and continues into the Caribbean.
