Clairemont Coffee
Tucked away at the end of a small strip mall is a coffee house where new coffee drinks are crafted daily by its baristas. The usual suspects such as flavored lattes and mochas are served here and the one size smoothies are high in flavor and creaminess. In between smoothie sips your little one(s) will love the the ice cream freezer for its magnetic board and dozens of magnets. That’s not all! Coloring books and tools and little trinkets cleverly placed throughout the store serve as a fun distraction and might even begin an impromptu game of I Spy.

The Parents’ Cafe
The cafes at Kid Ventures may be the top pick for your little explorers. Each cafe brews Caffe Calabria Coffee and each coffee has a unique name. Try the Egyptian Latte if you like caramel of the Venetian Mocha if you prefer white chocolate. The baristas are upbeat and can create just about any kind of smoothie for your little adventurists to use to recharge in-between defending the castle or leading the pirate ship to shore. Parents can enjoy their java from a cafe table or while out on the floor. What’s great about Kid Ventures is that moms have the option to play or sit in silence with their coffee, since children are kept in by a special locking door and a camera system projected through large monitors.

Bay Park Coffee
This unique and relaxing space does their best to welcome the minis. Kiddos will take great pride in ordering a food item to go along with their smoothie from Bay Park Coffee’s very own kid’s menu. If that wasn’t cool enough, there’s a nook within that’s a dedicated kids space. A small table and chairs with tablet, toys, books and coloring tools make up the nook and thus invite your little ones to settle in. This coffee spot hits all the marks especially with its online ordering feature.

Better Buzz Coffee
With locations in Encinitas, Point Loma, Mission Beach, San Marcos, Fashion Valley Mall and Pacific Beach, Better Buzz Coffee makes it easy to find a storefront in or around your neighborhood. Each location has its own unique qualities to make your kiddos feel like they’re an integral part of San Diego’s coffee scene. The baristas are a huge part of that since they make the extra effort to engage moms tag-a-long upon ordering and drink delivery.

Good to Know: Moms may find the line at the Pacific Beach drive-thru to be consistently clogged. But the inside space features window seating for kids to count the cars that drive by.
