The San Diego Festival of Books is a celebration of reading and writing and a place where readers and authors can connect to share stories, ideas and enthusiasm for the traditions, culture and values of the written word.
The San Diego Union-Tribune is proud to announce this inaugural Festival which will feature over 40 local published authors participating in discussions and book signings. There will also be live entertainment, merchant vendors, a dedicated Children’s Pavilion and a variety of other programs. This first year’s event will be a great kick-off for a more robust event in years to come. Admission to the Festival of Books is free. Panel discussions are $3 each. $1 will be donated to the San Diego Council on Literacy for each ticket sold. Tickets go on sale 8/8.
