ArtWalk at Liberty Station and Art in the Village in Carlsbad will get those creative juices flowing and you can eat s’mores & stargaze at a Star Party, sing along to your fave movie tunes with the San Diego Symphony and so much more! ArtWalk Liberty Station
The Annual Fine Arts Festival, ArtWalk @ Liberty Station will return to Ingraham Plaza for the 13th year! The free, family-friendly event’s 2018 theme “Connecting Creative Communities” embodies ArtWalk’s mission to bring San Diego together to enjoy art and cultural expression all weekend long. Artwork from over 200 international, national and local San Diego artists will surround the picturesque Ingram Plaza rose garden where attendees can view and purchase every medium of art including painting, sculpture, glass work, fine jewelry, photography and more. The festival will also include live music; KidsWalk, an interactive art area for families; street food options and a wine and beer pavilion benefitting ArtReach, a nonprofit that has provided free art classes to over 20,000 students who wouldn’t normally have access to art programs in San Diego County. Young Anglers Fishing Tournament
Join in the free fishing fun for young anglers ages 6 to 15. No experience needed. Prizes will be awarded at this catch and release tournament. Raise the woof! It’s the 13th Annual Cardiff Dog Days of Summer! This free event features over 100 dog-related vendors, rescue groups, pet adoption agencies and a carefully curated “Maker’s Market Row.”  Activities include dog contests, live music, kids activities, beer & wine garden, food trucks and more. The event will also feature a “Rescue Row” and Pet Health Expo. 20th Annual Art in the Village
The Carlsbad Village Association’s (CVA) Art in the Village will returns bringing 110 local and regional fine artists for a one-day, open-air art show with something for everyone! Starting at 9 a.m., attendees can browse dynamic exhibits, meet the artists, and listen to live acoustic and classical music along State St. and Grand Ave. right in the heart of the Village, just blocks from Carlsbad State Beach. Live sculpting and painting demos will take place throughout the day. The Family Open Studios will be available for art-making projects for the whole family. A new Teen Art Pavilion will showcase the incredible artwork of teen artists from local high schools. The City of Carlsbad Cultural Arts Department will be unveiling a unique art project to be installed in the Village, as the first of half a dozen Carlsbad-centric public art pieces. Public parking is plentiful in the Village, and the beach is only two blocks away. Numerous casual and fine dining establishments are within steps from the venue, as well as shopping at a wide variety of boutiques, salons, and galleries. Sun. Event details.
