Science Club for Girls: The Great American Eclipse
On August 21 a total solar eclipse will be visible in the United States for the first time in 38 years! Join The Fleet Science Center to explore the phenomenon of eclipses and prepare for this historic celestial event. Girls in 5th to 8th grade can join the action the second Saturday of every month to solve new challenges, dive into hands-on activities and meet with local women scientists with major girl power. La La Land in Concert
The most honored American movie musical since Chicago is coming to Bayside Summer Nights! Damien Chazelle’s joyful masterpiece about struggling Los Angeles actors and musicians will be screened with LIVE orchestra and jazz musicians on a giant LED screen. Featuring instant classic songs “City of Stars,” “Audition (The Fools Who Dream)” and many more! The film will be shown on the big screen while the award-winning score is performed live by the San Diego Symphony and guest jazz artists. Sat. Eat Better Art: Reimagining the School Lunch

ArtWalk at Liberty Station
Art lovers: get ready for a weekend filled with art, food, live entertainment and fun for everyone. The 12th annual ArtWalk at Liberty Station will feature the works of over 200 artists from around the globe. The art on display will showcase every medium from painting, sculpture and glass work to fine jewelry and photography. Attendees will enjoy live music, interactive art for kids (and the kids at heart), delicious street food options and a wine and beer pavilion all in a beautiful al fresco setting. Sat. & Sun. Summer Movies in the Park: Moana
All summer long, families and friends are invited to a free movie under the stars! The Summer Movies in the Park Series is proud to feature new blockbusters and old favorites. Bring a blanket, bring a picnic (or don’t; Beachin’ Boba food truck will be selling all sorts of tasty food, snacks, and treats) and enjoy a new summer tradition! Latino Book & Family Festival

Cardiff Dog Days of Summer
Cardiff 101 Main Street is partnering with the City of Encinitas to present the 12th Annual Cardiff Dog Days of Summer. This free event features over 200 dog-related vendors and rescue groups, pet adoptions, live music, dog contests, kids activities, beer & wine garden, food trucks and more! New this year, the event will be held at the Encinitas Community Park next to the Maggie Houlihan Dog Park and will feature a carefully curated “Maker’s Market Row” where you can find quality handmade goods and connect with local artisans.
