It’s Oscar weekend! Wait, what? You’re not attending a fabulous adults-only cocktail and viewing party on the roof of some fancy San Diego hotel? Us, either. Sunday night is all about TiVo and sweatpants and maybe a little Twitter talk about what everyone’s wearing.
But if you do want a few hours to yourselves, Saturday is the time because it’s Parents’ Night Out for East Bay families. Kids can enjoy four hours of gymnastics and games and you can enjoy four hours of… anything. This weekend, you can also hit the town (during the day) for some family fun. For North Country San Diego residents, there’s a super cool kids’ cooking class at Sur La Table in the Forum Shops. Whip up an Italian meal with your tiny chefs. Or hit the Science Center at Balboa Park and explore science. We’ve rounded up even more fun events, so keep reading!
