Adventure Day Sail Aboard San Salvador
Set sail! Maritime Museum of San Diego offers an unforgettable sailing adventure aboard San Salvador, a replica of Juan Rodriguez Cabrillo’s ship that arrived at the port we now call San Diego on September 28, 1542. This 4-hour adventure is perfect for those who love history and sailing. Very few people have sailed aboard galleons of the sixteenth century and this experience offers the chance to be aboard the magnificent galleon, San Salvador. No sailing experience required. San Salvador has sailed to Oxnard, Monterey, Morro Bay, Channel Islands, Santa Barbara, and San Pedro as part of her multi-year Pacific Heritage Tour. Note: Space is limited. Steam Powered Giraffe 10 Year Anniversary Show
See San Diego’s own robot band perform live at the California Center for the Arts, Center Theater! The band is celebrating their 10 year anniversary and will be joined on stage by various past band members. More than just a band, Steam Powered Giraffe is a musical act that combines robot pantomime, puppetry, ballet, comedy, projections and music for an experience unlike anything you’ve seen before. Tidepooling Adventure with Birch Aquarium at Scripps
Visit a local tide pool with Birch Aquarium at Scripps Institution of Oceanography. Learn how these amazing habitats and their inhabitants truly survive between a rock and a hard place.
