What do cartooning, cooking, parenting and micorbiomes have in common? They’re all happening this weekend in San Diego. Kids can take a free cartooning class at the Carmel Mountain Library and learn to draw their favorite character. Learn how to cook pasta and other tasty Italian treats at K Pasta. Head south to the annual Coronado SAFE 4th Annual Parenting Conference. Young scientists will love learning about the human microbiome at the opening of this new exhibit at the Reuben H. This new bilingual exhibit allows young scientists to explore the fascinating and complex world inside their bodies through the microbiome. 2theXtreme – Math Alive!
This weekend marks the end of this high-energy and hands-on exhibit. It’s a math-driven exhibit that takes math far from sitting in a desk memorizing equations. Kids are encouraged by their bilingual robot computer animated guides to play with all the computer simulated exhibits. Seussical Jr. the Musical

Pasta Cooking Class for Kids
Join K Pasta for a fun day of pasta-making for kids. Learn all about the importance of scratch-made and good food while enjoying all-things citrus. Kids will make chicken and prosciutto tortellini with an orange cream sauce, tossed winter salad with a citrus honey vinaigrette, orange marmalade and an orange soda. Coronado SAFE 4th Annual Parenting Conference

Celebrate Chinese New Year
From tangram magnets to lucky red wallets, kids will learn so much about Chinese traditions and beliefs as they create works of art. The reading of Red is a Dragon will have your kiddo believing they have journeyed to China to participate in this colorful, vibrant holiday.
