Families will marvel at award-winning, master sandcastle builders creating amazing masterpieces on the beach at the Sun and Sea Festival. This year’s theme is Pirates in Paradise. Junk in the Trunk Vintage Market
Come shop more than 100 vintage, antique and handmade vendors, creatively curated by Junk in the Trunk Vintage Market, at Ingram Plaza at Liberty Station. Discover different local activities you can do as a family with San Diego Children’s Discovery Museum’s Outdoor Explorer Series. The Outdoor Explorer series consists of special storytimes and an interactive presentation and/or a hands-on workshop. The Series is designed to open doors for children to have a broader understanding of our natural world and a deeper connection with nature. It is a multi-faceted program encouraging children to reduce screen time, connect with the outdoors and get their hands dirty while learning about plants, animals, and the earth. Sat. Summer Movies in the Park: Finding Dory
All summer long, families and friends are invited to a free movie under the stars! The Summer Movies in the Park Series is proud to feature new blockbusters and old favorites. Bring your inner tubes and rafts, a picnic (or don’t; Beachin’ Boba food truck will be selling all sorts of tasty food, snacks, and treats) and enjoy a new summer tradition! Don’t have an inner tube? Play on giant inflatables and floating obstacles, walk on water in a giant water ball, dance to music under the lights by the pool and lots more water fun. Day of Play at Olivewood Gardens
Join Olivewood Gardens and Learning Center for some free family-friendly fun! Enjoy hands-on cooking, gardening, crafts, nutrition, games and physical activities in a beautiful outdoor garden setting. The Day of Play promotes healthy living and environmental responsibility. Hogwarts Herbology Kids Only Club
Head to Pennypickle’s Workshop for a new semester at Hogwarts to study Professor Sprouts’ secret formulas and plantings. And don’t worry- the dragon dung compost they use is organic! Dress in your House Robes (or lab coat if you haven’t been sorted into a House yet). Gillyweed testing and Mandrake rooting are a couple of things on the Lesson Plan.
