Watch “The Little Mermaid” Theatrical Production Under the Stars
Watch a beautiful theatrical production outdoors under the stars at Moonlight Amphitheater! Disney’s “The Little Mermaid” is a fishy fable that will capture your heart with its irresistible songs, including “Under the Sea,” “Kiss the Girl” and “Part of Your World.” Ariel, King Triton’s youngest daughter, wishes to pursue the human, Prince Eric, in the world above and bargains with the evil sea witch, Ursula, to trade her tail for legs. But, the bargain is not what it seems and Ariel needs the help of her colorful friends Flounder the fish, Scuttle the seagull and Sebastian the crab to restore order under the sea. Kids Obstacle Challenge
Kids Obstacle Challenge is an adventure and obstacle course event series for kids ages 5-16, with 10-15 fun and challenging obstacles and lots of mud! And the best part is, parents get to run with their kids for free! Sign up your eager adventurers for a 1-2 mile course at Kit Carson Park. Participants can rope swing into a giant mud pit, army crawl through tough terrain, scale up rugged cargo nets and slide into a muddy paradise. Don’t miss the chance for your kiddos to push their limits and of course, get covered in mud! Summer Soiree in the Gardens
Nature’s Whisper presents Summer Soiree in the Gardens––a special event celebrating and supporting mama, baby, family and community. Vendors ranging from prenatal & postnatal services, essential oils, women’s clothing, family photography services, healthy snack vendors, free yoga classes in the studio & class demos in the gardens, free chair massages and more. There will be an Ice Cream Social sponsored by a local creamery as well as a Lemonade Stand & Bake Sale. Proceeds from the Lemonade Stand & Bake Sale will benefit Sassy Seva Sisters. 11th Annual Scooter Con
Head to this exciting freestyle scooter competition to be amazed at amateur and professional riders on a roll and performing their best tricks. Note: Spectators are required to purchase a spectator wristband to enter the facility beyond the Registration office. The Vendor Walk, food court and registration office will be open to the public but the actual skatepark will be paid entry in order to limit the amount of spectators on the competition course. San Diego Botanic Garden’s Insect & Ladybug Festival
Aspiring entomologists are invited to San Diego Botanic Garden’s Insect & Ladybug Festival. This one-of-a-kind festival is sure to intrigue bug-devotees of all ages. The event features thousands of fascinating creepy-crawlies, including live lizards, snakes and the famous Madagascar hissing cockroaches! Bug collecting, interactive insect arts and crafts, as well as tasty cooked mealworm larva – in various flavors including mesquite, teriyaki and barbeque – are just some of the engaging activities scheduled at the Festival. Kids love to cook and you need a break! Head down for a fun and educational cooking class with Chef Alyse Wallace at Waypoint Public in North Park. Little chefs will prepare a 3 course meal, no sharp objects or heating elements. Class is best suited for children ages 4-10. Many parents choose to drop the kids off in class and enjoy an adult brunch in the main dining room. San Diego Turtle & Tortoise Show

inBloom Playhouse Auction & Family Fun Festival
