With this being Memorial Day weekend, it’s unofficially the beginning of summer. Perhaps you’re planning a trip to the beach, a dive in the pool, or a barbecue with friends. Lebanese Festival

Family Discovery Walk

“Stone Soup” The Musical
This folk story has been told for hundreds of years all over the world. A tale about compassion and cooperation amid scarcity and fear, Stone Soup’s message of kindness is just as relevant today as it was years ago. Lego Legends of Chima Water Park
It’s opening weekend of the new water park presented by Cartoon Network and Legoland. Attractions include the Lion temple Wave Pool, Eglor’s Build-a-Boat and Cragger’s Swamp where guests can ride water slides, blast water cannons, and slide through the head of a crocodile. Sat. – Sun., 10 a.m. – 5 p.m., Legoland, Free with park admission. All ages. Event details.

Tiger Trail at the San Diego Zoo Safari Park
The San Diego Zoo Safari Park opens it’s newest exhibit featuring magnificent cats and Sumatran tigers. Guests will enjoy  up-close views of the tigers in this forested habitat and learn about vital conservation efforts to help save the species. Rancho Bernardo Pancake Festival
Enjoy live music, door prizes, a bounce house, food, and of course, pancakes at this annual event that honors the military. Sat., 8 a.m. – 12 p.m., Bernardo Winery, $7/person; free/veterans, military, kids under 3. All ages. Event details.

The Annual Vista Strawberry Festival
The Annual Vista Strawberry Festival officially kicks off at the Wave Waterpark in Vista with the Strawberry Festival Run (10K, 5K, 1-Mile, ¼-Mile). The run is followed by a pie eating contest, strawberry costume contest, Strawberry Idol and much more. Sun., 7 a.m. – 6 p.m., Downtown Vista, Free. All ages. Event details.
