Liberty Station Band Review
The Liberty Station Band Review will feature performances by more than ten Southern California high school marching bands, professional judging and an awards ceremony, with a military salute, followed by a festival featuring food, live music and other entertainment. The bands will march around Liberty Station for the public to enjoy and perform for a panel of professional judges. The bands will begin marching at 10 a.m. and the community festival will start at 11 a.m. There will be food trucks and live entertainment, including stage performances, kids’ gymnastics, face painting and more. Diamond Bar High School will perform a military salute to veterans, military and their families—featuring a medley of songs. Sat. Event details.
San Diego Veterans Day Parade
The San Diego Veterans Day Parade is a fun event for the entire family and the nation’s largest public parade of U.S. Armed Forces in uniform formations from all five military branches. The one-mile route runs down North Harbor Drive and features floats, military vehicles, marching bands, active and veterans military groups and more. Sat. Event details.
5k Color Fun Run
This year’s 5k color run consists of a morning and evening set of race options that feature live DJ music. 5k Color Fun Run brings the spirit of healthy fun, music and togetherness to life along with color packets that runners throw on and at each other. Food trucks will be on location and an after party at Bassmnt in Gaslamp will follow the main event. Start your holiday shopping early at the Christmas Arts, Crafts & Vintage Market. Over 80 artisans will be selling a variety of American handmade crafts and fine art. Free Heart Screening
Thousands of young people die annually when their heart unexpectedly stops due to an undetected condition that causes Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA), a leading cause of death under 25 and the #1 killer of student athletes. The Eric Paredes Save A Life Foundation has tried to combat this tragic loss of young lives by screening 23,000 hearts and counting, finding nearly 1 in 100 at risk from an undetected heart abnormality. Volunteers will screen upwards of 1,000 young adults, ages 12-25. The event is free, simply register at
