Bring the family to any Home Depot for a workshop especially for kids. Young construction workers will make anything from toolboxes to fire trucks to a window birdhouse and bughouse. The workshops teach children do-it-yourself skills and tool safety. In addition to the newly constructed project, each child receives a kid-sized orange apron and an achievement pin. Ford Supergirl Pro
Come out and see the very best that female surfing has to offer! The Ford Supergirl Pro is the largest female surfing event in the world. The event is free to the public and will include live music as well as autographs from the pros, free hair styling from Paul Mitchell, give-aways, celebrity guests, an eco-village and an expo area with a host of surf-oriented companies. ArtWalk and Car Show
Bring the family to the Old California Restaurant Row in Escondido for art and cars galore! The day features an array of cars including Ferrari, Lamborghini, Aston Martin and Porsche. Join a reptile specialist for the Escondido Humane Society for a presentation where your kiddos will hear all about reptiles and amphibians. Farm to Yoga at Suzie’s Farm

Ready for some “corny” fun? The La Habra Corn Festival includes a fall parade and two day carnival at El Centro Park. The parade is open to most any group that wants to participate. The parade is one of the largest daytime parades in southern California. There’s also a corn-eating contest, cutest baby contest, and best doggie contest. “The King and I” Performance
Adults and kids will love this classic tale of east versus west. It is 1862 in Siam when an English widow, Anna Leonowens, and her young son arrive at the Royal Palace in Bangkok, having been summoned by the King to serve as tutor to his many children and wives.
