Strawberry Agua Fresca - Lola's Cocina

In honor of National Strawberry Month, raise your glass of strawberry agua fresca and say “salud” to strawberries! This three-ingredient, kid-friendly recipe is simply delicious and is a great pick-me-up on a warm sunny day.

Serving Size: makes approximately six 8-ounce glasses

Ingredients:
4 cups strawberries (about 15-20) rinsed and hulled
5 cups water divided
½ cup sugar (or to taste)

Method:
1. Blend strawberries, 4 cups water, and sugar on medium setting for 60 seconds.

2. Strain mixture through a fine-mesh sieve into large pitcher. You may need to agitate the mixture to let the juice through, avoid pushing the pulp through to keep juice light in consistency. Discard pulp.

3. Stir in remaining 1 cup of water.

4. Chill and serve over ice. Garnish with fresh strawberries.
