If Target is your go-to destination for everything from kids clothes and toys to housewares and food, then you’re probably more than familiar with their house brands, like Cat & Jack and Pillowfort. The best store on earth is now revealing a whole slew of new brands to obsess over as your browse the aisles.
Target recently announced in a press release its plans to debut 12 new store brands over the next two years. The first batch will be available starting this Fall and features four brands. A New Day is a woman’s brand that offers classic pieces that can be worn to work and dressed up for date night. Goodfellow & Co. is a men’s line of clothing, accessories, and shoes. Project 62 is a line of modern home furnishings. All three of these brands will launch in September, while October will bring JoyLab, aka a mom’s new bff, in the form of fashionable activewear.
“Our new brands are all about the changing face of our guests—what they need, what they’re looking for from Target,” Mark Tritton, Target’s executive vice president and chief merchandising offer said in the press release. “We knew we’d need to refresh our offerings—and define new ones—so our guests continue to love what they’re discovering at Target and want to keep coming back, again and again.”
The only downside to this exciting announcement is that in the process of launching these new brands, the company will be retiring two classic ones: Merona and Mossimo. It’ll be sad to see them go, but with so many new choices, there’s plenty to shop.
