Day of the Dead—Petaluma, CA

Throughout the month of October, Petaluma comes alive with the dead. This celebration of remembrance begins with ofrendas (altars) throughout the charming downtown and continues each week with lively events including Aztec dancers, Ballet Folklorico de Petaluma Paquiyollotzin, food, art and more. The whole festival culminates in a Candlelight Procession on Oct. 28, lead by giant puppets.
