Your tiny traveler has gone by boat, by plane and even by train. But by gondola? That’s an original that will earn her serious playground cred. After all, it’s not every day she gets to ride over rivers and rugged mountainscapes to find high altitude adventures like roller coasters, suspended slack lines and geyser-fueled splash pads. We found 12 awesome rides, so flip through to find your fave!

Royal Gorge Bridge & Park, Canon City, Co

Daredevils of all ages will thrill at the Royal Gorge’s aerial gondolas. Suspended 1,200-feet above the Arkansas River, riders traverse the 2,200-foot crossing in one of six cars, that holds up to eight riders each. It’s a don’t-look-down moment you and your crew won’t soon forget! And it’s just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to extreme adventures at this park. We suggest taking the gondola as a starting point because then it’s all downhill, walking-wise, as you check out the three-story Tommy Knocker Children’s Playground, carousel with a view, and the Plaza Theater on the other side. Forget the bridge. Take a gondola instead!
