The Tidal Basin—Washington, DC
This man-made inlet to the Potomac River is most famous for the springtime National Cherry Blossom Festival but it’s just as spectacular in the fall. The 3,000+ cherry trees put on a good show and there’s plenty of rambling paths to take to breathe in the fall air. Kick it near the Jefferson Memorial for a great view.
