Carowinds Carolina Harbor Waterpark—Charlotte, Sc

Last year this park underwent an extensive transformation into the largest waterpark in the Carolinas. New features include a separate waterpark entrance, a 27,000-square-foot wave pool, a six story high water slide complex and two new family fun zones. Ride the Pelican Plunge slide together and then let the kids take control of the water spray-and-play features of Pirate’s Landing. When you’ve got younger ones in tow, you’ll love the Sand Dune Lagoon and Kitty Hawk Corner—littles can splash in the children’s pool and parents can relax nearby. Plus you’ll be happy to find a separate changing area and a new family bathhouse along with lockers and restrooms near the little lagoon, which just makes everything easier. And it doesn’t hurt that this waterpark is included with admission to its neighboring amusement park.
