Jessica Alba’s The Honest Company is issuing a voluntary recall of some of its products due to the possibility of mold contamination. Check out the video below for the company’s recall message and read on to find out if you have any products at home that are affected.
As the video explains, recent quality control testing performed by The Honest Company found several lots of baby wipes with “spotted discoloration” that could potentially be mold. Co-founder Christopher Gavigan says that the wipes are unlikely to “cause adverse health consequences” and are being recalled out of an “abundance of caution.” Parents are urged to check their wipes packages for affected lot numbers and return them to where they were purchased for a full refund.
The Honest Company Wipes that are being recalled include the following lots:
- 10 count packages, UPC 0817810011276, 0816645024079, 0817810011276
- 72 count packages, UPC 0817810011863, 7000000011863, 0816645023584, 0816645023591
- 288 count packages, UPC 0817810014680
- 576 count packages, UPC 0817810028540
You can also type in the lot number on their website to check the status if you are unsure. This new recall comes on the heels of the company’s baby powder recall in January, company lay-offs, and a recent CEO shake-up.
