Duhh-dun. Duhh-dun. Duhdun duhdun duhdun duhdun…
The blockbuster of 1975 that scared folks away from the beach is back this summer, but one movie house has decided there’s a scarier way to watch it than in a plush theater seat.
From June 30-July 23, Alamo Drafthouse in Austin, Texas, is bringing Jaws back for an old-school drive-in showing. But the audience won’t be watching from their cars. Viewers will be floating in inner tubes on inky black Lake Travis while the shark that necessitated “a bigger boat” cruises the screen.
Jaws 2, Jaws 3 in 3-D and even Jaws: The Revenge will also be screened, each for one night only. Tickets cost $55 and include all-day access to Volente Beach Water Park, as well as an inner tube for your floating pleasure. And if you’re too scared to watch from the water, you can also sit safely on the beach.
But why be afraid to watch from the lake? Sharks don’t live in fresh water. Or do they?
