OK, so we know this is a commercial — and that disposable razors aren’t usually the go-to source for weepy sentiment — but this Father’s Day ad campaign by Gillette is so sweet you’ll want to share it with all the dads in your life.
The two-minute “Go Ask Dad” commercial, which aims to get technology-addicted sons (and daughters, we suppose, even though none are featured) to turn to dear ol’ Dad for advice instead of reaching for their cell phones, has been viewed more than three million times.
“84 percent of guys say their go-to source for information is their phone,” the video begins. “Only 13 percent go to their dads.” Kudos to Gillette, for trying to change that.
