Your kiddo’s favorite blue tank engine is coming to life. Um, sort of. Thomas Town at Kennywood Park is bringing the magical Island of Sodor to your child. Pittsburgher’s may know Kennywood for the historic Jack Rabbit and Thunderbolt rollercoasters, but now the amusement park is welcoming a whole new attraction — and it’s perfect for the pint-sized set.

Thomas Town is set to open this coming summer and will include five different rides, a stage show along with themed play and entertainment areas and plenty of merchandise for your little train lover to adore.

As the second-largest permanent Thomas & Friends attraction in North America, Kennywood’s Thomas Town will also feature a Birthday Center and a soft-play area. As for the entertainment, kids of all ages will be treated to a show that doesn’t just star Thomas. Some of Sodor’s other popular trains, such as Percy, James, Emily and Gordon, will also come out to play!

Kennywood’s General manager, Jerome Gibas, said (in a press release), “We’re so excited to welcome Thomas & Friends to Kennywood.” Gibas went on to say, “Thomas Town presents a huge addition that expands our family offerings while introducing the park to Thomas & Friends fans from around the globe. We couldn’t ask for a better gift for Kennywood and our guests to help celebrate our 120th anniversary season in 2018.”
