It’s not even Halloween, but there’s no time like the present to start your holiday shopping game plan—and for those super shoppers out there, that means you need to know which stores will be closed on Thanksgiving Day. Read on to see the list.
When did standing in line at a store on Thanksgiving—instead of sitting at home eating a fab feast with family—become a thing? So which favorite retailers will lock their doors, allowing their staff to stay home and feast on turkey, cranberries and marshmallow sweet potato casserole? You can count on some of the biggest big box stores to be closed on Thanksgiving Day this year, including Costco, Home Depot, Lowe’s, IKEA and Sam’s Club.
Here are 24 more stores you won’t find open on Thanksgiving Day, either. For a full list of stores, visit BestBlackFriday.com.
AT&T (company-owned stores)
BJ’s Wholesale Club
Crate & Barrel
dressbarn (majority of stores)
Pier 1 Imports
Sprint (some mall retail stores and kiosks may open on Thanksgiving)

If you’re wondering if more stores will join this list, we can’t say for sure. Look for updates on future Thanksgiving store closing announcements at BestBlackFriday.com.
