With all the hilarious characters Will Ferrell has portrayed on screen over the years, it’s not a stretch to imagine that he’s a fun-loving dad at home, too. The star of this summer’s The House recently revealed just how far he will go to get a few laughs from his most captive audience: his own kids.
When Ferrell sat down with People to promote his new film and discuss family life, he explained that his long comedy career has left him immune to embarrassment and he’ll do just about anything to make his kids happy. He told People he’ll, “do things like walk around the house and just show the top of my butt crack and not notice it. They’ll be like, ‘Dad, what are you doing?’ ”
The apple hasn’t fallen far from the tree when it comes to comedic chops. His kids have learned how to make their dad the butt of their own jokes (pun intended). “We have a standing tradition that they get to pick out my Halloween costume, no matter what it is. I was a poop emoji a couple years ago.”
