If the World Cup has your young fans kicking with excitement over soccer (or should we say football?), then YouTube Kids has the solution to keep them entertained and inspired even when their favorite teams are off the field. Two new World Cup-themed shows on YouTube Kids are an exciting way to tide over your little hooligans until the next match airs.
Exclusively on YouTube Kids and YouTube, Angry Birds: BirLd Cup will release new episodes every Wednesday and Friday from now through Jul. 13. In this World Cup storyline, the Angry Birds host a competition of their own—and they’ve invited some of the top footballers in the world to join them. A mix of live-action and animation, the hilarious antics of Angry Birds Red and Chuck are mixed with real soccer challenges performed by Everton Football Club’s Wayne Rooney, Cenk Tosun, Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Tom Davies along with teams of kids.
Being a good sport is a big part of competitive play, but often a hard lesson to learn for young kids. Masha and the Bear: World Cup will offer five new episodes, with a new episode each week, all about learning to play fair, not giving up and including everyone.
In addition to putting a soccer spin on these popular kids shows, the YouTube Kids app will be chock full of soccer-related content to help kids learn more about the game over the coming weeks, available through the end of the World Cup on Jul. 16.
