As we put a bow on yet another brilliant year for independent kid’s (“kindie”) music, we offer you the thirteen best albums of 2013. Our picks range from bombastic to hilarious to old-fashion to orchestral to bizarre, and just about everything in between. Frances England Blink Of An Eye

The children they grow up and the parents, they reflect. That sums up most of Frances England's 4th and most excellent family album but not all of it, for there's the homemade percussion-pop party dance tune "Moves Like A Saturday Night" that might just point the way forward for a genre that too often (and too foolishly) gives up on reaching kids 8, 9, and 10 years old.
