Dust off your mitts and get ready to batter up because Smalls, Ham, Squints and the entire gang are heading back to the diamond. To celebrate the 25th anniversary of The Sandlot, the movie is coming back to movie theaters this summer.

If you grew up in the ‘90s, chances are The Sandlot was one among many classic baseball movies of your youth, but none had quite as much ragamuffin heart and soul like this crew. Now you can share all those memorable moments with your own kids, so they’ll finally understand exactly what you’re talking about when you shout out “You’re killin’ me Smalls!” for the umpteenth time.

For the uninitiated, The Sandlot followed the adventures of a ragtag group of friends growing up and playing baseball together in the 1960s. It’s one of those rare gems that both kids and grown-ups love and it totally holds up even decades later.

The movie, originally released in 1993, is celebrating its 25th anniversary (yes, we feel old too). This limited time re-release will take place on just two days in select theaters across the United States. Tickets for the showings on Jul. 22 and Jul. 24 can be purchased through Fathom Events, and with the film’s cult following they are sure to sell out fast.
