We’ve all been there. Your precious little angel loses her fave stuffed animal and all heck breaks out. Sorry, but suddenly bedtime has gone up in flames and there’s no way that naptime will happen. Ever. That is, until Mr. Bear, Miss Fluffy or Professor Bunny is back in your kiddo’s loving little arms. When Katie Hoeppner found a lost lovey in an Iowa rest stop bathroom she knew exactly what she had to do. She had to find the stuffed animal’s owner.

Hoeppner, a mom herself, took what she considered a long shot and posted pics of the lost stuffy on Facebook. She noted the location where she found the animal and asked her friends to please share the post, hoping to find its owner. She wrote, “As a mom, I know exactly what it’s like to have a child who’s frantic when they lose their Stuffy.”

Not knowing the plush pets name, the mom decided to call him “George.” She photographed George in her car, wearing his seatbelt, picking music from her phone (apparently, he likes Kenny Chesney), with her 9-year-old daughter, watching college football, shopping, drinking a chocolate chip frapp at Starbucks and so much more. Lucky George. Looks like he had some fun.

After getting thousands of shares (more than 50,000), Hoeppner’s post came through. She found George’s owner! As it turns out George’s real name is Pup Pup and he belongs to little boy who was very happy to have his friend back.
