From the Red Sea to Greenland, globe-trotting fans of mayhem and mystery will no longer be singing the blues because they’ll know exactly where Carmen Sandiego is (finally). Tell INTERPOL she’s on Netflix. Donning that famous red hat and coat, actress Gina Rodriguez will play Carmen Sandiego in a new live-action film.

Last year the word on the street was that the beloved ’90s computer game-turned-kids show Where In the World Is Carmen Sandiego? would be making a comeback as an animated series on Netflix. The streaming platform has now confirmed that not only will an animated Carmen Sandiego series will debut in 2019, the international their will also get her very own live-action movie! Both versions of the mysterious continent-hopper will be played by Jane the Virgin and Ferdinand star Gina Rodriguez.

According to Deadline, a new series of Carmen Sandiego kids books will also be published by Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, which is also co-producing both the Netflix movie and animated show. The books will be released in 2019 to coincide with the new Netflix animated reboot.
