Dragon Con Welcome Party in Woodruff Park
Join the Fulton County and Clayton County Libraries for a party to welcome DragonCon for it’s 33rd year of making Labor Day Atlanta’s Favorite Holiday! Bring your lunch and enjoy free activities including: virtual reality gaming, Atari Flashback, Nintendo NES, drones, giant yard games, a photo booth, button making, drawing with 3D pens, and a DJ! Each year, Dragon Con presents a parade that is talked about for at least the next twelve months. You’ll see everything you can possibly imagine—and lots more that you couldn’t—just by stepping out onto Peachtree Street that morning. Chick-fil-A College Football Game and FanZone

Free Month at Chick-fil-A College Football Hall of Fame
The Chick-fil-A College Football Hall of Fame is offering free admission to the interactive, state-of-the-art fan experience for the entire month of August in celebration of college football’s 150th anniversary and the Hall’s fifth year in Atlanta. Taste of Soul Atlanta
Check out this citywide free festival that takes place in West Downtown. This family festival celebrates Soul and Southern food, has live music, art, kid events (train, slides, and swings in the kid zone are available with a small fee), urban winemakers and Atlanta’s best people watching.
