Tame your wild ones by celebrating Endangered Species Day at the Atlanta Botanical Garden or World Ocean’s Day at the Georgia Aquarium. The Velveteen Rabbit
There once was a Velveteen Rabbit, splendid and new! Travel to a time when toys were sewn with stitches and before modern technologies became all the rage in this original adaptation of the Margery Williams’ classic. Serenbe Playhouse’s “The Velveteen Rabbit” will remind children of all ages that being real isn’t how you are made, but a feeling that can change you forever. This event takes place at The Grange Creek in Serenbe, located behind Ferns Market. Please bring your own seating for this festival style performance. Ice Cream For Daddy!

Endangered Species Day
Come nose-to-nose with a gopher tortoise, a bald eagle, an indigo snake, a Gila monster and more! Learn about the Garden’s conservation work with rare plants and amphibians. Members Only Night: Monkey Madness!
Zoo Atlanta Members, it’s your night! Join Zoo Atlanta for Monkey Madness, an evening of fun family activities just for Members that includes primate-themed Keeper Talks and feedings, inflatable fun, craft stations, stilt-walkers and games.  Sat., 5:30 pm, Zoo Atlanta, Free for all active Members, but registration is required. World Oceans Day At Georgia Aquarium
On World Oceans Day people around the planet celebrate and honor the body of water which links us all, both for what it provides humans and for what it represents. Celebrate with a Scavenger Hunt with Buddy the Dinosaur and Southwest Airlines! Meet at LUVie’s Dive Shop inside Tropical Diver to pick up your scavenger hunt questions. Travel the oceans of Georgia Aquarium to find the answers and return your paper to the Dive Shop. You’ll receive a special prize that you can plant! Strong4life Superhero Sprint
Put on your cape and help fight against childhood obesity! This family event in Piedmont Park will benefit Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta’s Strong4Life movement, dedicated to reversing the epidemic of childhood obesity and its associated diseases in Georgia. Sat., 7:00 am for registration, race begins at 8 am, Piedmont Park, $20 for adults, $12 per child. All ages. Event details.

Weebles Coast To Coast
In this exhibit, visitors can travel to each of the 50 states to explore U.S. geography, history and culture. Exhibit activities feature American travel, sports and leisure pastimes, music from across the nation, and fun and important information about the well-known people, places and historical events. Children can pretend to power a riverboat down the Mississippi, hit a home run at Fenway Park, build the Saint Louis Gateway Arch, ride a mule into the Grand Canyon, snorkel in Hawaii, enjoy winter fun in Wisconsin and much more. Baby Shower And Toddler Expo

Joseph And The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat
Andrew Lloyd Webber’s musical features an eclectic pop score that is a favorite for audiences of all ages. When Joseph receives a wondrous colorful coat from his father, his jealous brothers take matters into their own hands. In Egypt, however, his fortunes take an unexpected turn for the better when he helps a troubled — but rockin’ — Pharaoh.
