Model Train Show at Cobb Galleria
Head to the Galleria Centre for over 250 model train vendors and operating layouts, including a kids’ operating layout—a project of the Piedmont Division to provide an opportunity for young kids to run trains. It is designed with kids in mind with everything at their eye level. It has 3 trains which are run, usually at mach speed, by the kids. LEGOLAND Space Mission Grand Opening Weekend

The Dragon King at Center for Puppetry Arts

Annie at The Fox Theatre
It’s a hard knock life… unless you have tickets to see Annie at The Fox. Then it’s a pretty sweet life. The world’s best-loved musical returns to Atlanta in a production of Annie that will be a brand new incarnation of the iconic original. Fri.-Sun. Event details.

World Puppetry Day Celebration at Center for Puppetry Arts
World Puppetry Day is a global holiday that you can celebrate with the Center for Puppetry Arts with the unveiling of the Center’s own Tiny Door (a new free art installation found throughout Atlanta). Following the door’s ribbon cutting, visitors will be treated to a concert by The Tiny Doors, as well as a tiny champagne toast. Onstage during the World Day of Puppetry festivities is The Dragon King, and other activities include Puppet Pop-up Carts, Tale Time book readings in the Museum, tours of the Jim Henson and Global collections and a special puppet workshop featuring a Tiny Door shadow puppet. Dinosaur! at The Alliance Theatre
Check out this amazing collaboration between The Alliance Theatre for the Very Young and the Fernbank Museum of Natural History, developed in partnership with science educators from the museum. It’s a gentle and awe-inspiring introduction to the wonders of the pre-historic world, where audience members interact with some of the largest dinosaurs to ever walk the Earth. Fri. Event details.

Green Market at Piedmont Park
It’s the first weekend of the weekly Green Market, a local farmers market serving Atlanta’s population with fresh, clean, local food. Local farmers, bakers, sauce makers, and craftsmen are on site and have weekly offerings of cooking demonstrations and entertainment while you shop.
