Fantasy in Lights at Callaway Gardens
8 million lights. 15 dazzling scenes. 1 great excuse to cuddle up with your kids. Heralded as one of the world’s “Top 10 Places to See Holiday Lights,” by National Geographic Traveler, this seasonal spectacular is worth the drive.  Ride their “Jolly Trolley” or keep cozy in the warm comfort of your own car as you and the fam cruise through this seasonal spectacular. Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer
Rudolph soars back into town for this faithful adaptation of the wonderful holiday tradition that speaks to the misfit in all of us. Based on the beloved 1964 stop-motion animated special, Rudolph and his friends (including Hermey the Elf, Yukon Cornelius and the Abominable Snow Monster) take the stage in a holly-jolly adventure that makes for a beloved, annual Atlanta tradition. Fri., 10 & 11:30 a.m.; Sat., 11 a.m., 1 & 3 p.m.; Sun., 1 & 3 p.m. Center for Puppetry Arts, $16.50, discount available for members. Winter Wonderland Celebration Day
Enjoy a special day of cultural- and holiday-themed performances and activities inspired by Winter Wonderland. Celebrate holidays, traditions and cultures in this festive community-based exhibition of decorated trees, artifact displays and more. Sat., 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Fernbank Museum of Natural History, Free with admission and for members. All ages. Event details.

Tree Lighting at Atlantic Station
Atlantic Station turns their tree lighting into an all-day celebration with live music, arts, live reindeer, delicious winter treats, and fam-friendly activities. Children’s activities fill East and West District Streets from noon to 6 pm. Special holiday performances take place throughout the day in Central Park. The day of merriment will end with Santa and the tree lighting at 8 pm followed by a fireworks show. Sat., noon. to 9 p.m., Atlantic Station, Free admission and parking. All ages. Event details.

Light Up Dunwoody
This annual community event heralds in the holiday season with a Christmas Village and tree lighting. A cozy warm atmosphere is supported by vendors offering treasures and refreshments. The Cheek-Spruill Farm House is the center of activity Santa and elves will welcome children on the front porch. Bring your camera to capture reindeer with a Santa sleigh available for photo opportunities. Sun., 3 to 6 p.m., Cheek-Spruill Farmhouse, Free. All ages. Event details.

Hanukah Hippo Hopp
Join Rabbi Ingber for a fun Hanukah holiday experience with stories, songs and play time at Atlanta’s first truly eco-friendly, non-toxic indoor playground. Hippo Hopp features a large variety of play structures including Atlanta’s only indoor maze, a Mega 3-lane obstacle course, fantastic gladiator ring and much more.  The program will include songs, stories and fun Hanukah crafts.
