North Georgia State Fair
This is the big one, folks! If you’re looking for a classic fall fair with rides, funnel cakes (and all the other fair foods), entertainment, and more, look no further than the North Georgia State Fair. ‘Magic Tree House®’ at The Children’s Museum
Explore American history through this time-traveling feature exhibit, created by The Magic House® and based on the best-selling children’s book series written by Mary Pope Osborne. Learn about the first Thanksgiving, the Civil War and life on the prairie with book characters Jack and Annie. Atlanta Streets Alive takes over Eastside neighborhoods on North Highland, Highland Avenue, and Boulevard with a bicycle parade, followed by biking, skating, walking and rolling down the streets while unencumbered by cars. Sun. Event details.

Zoo Atlanta Stroller Cubs
Go on an early learning adventure at the Zoo. Visit animal exhibits, and meet a friendly animal ambassador up-close during a special introduction to wildlife for our littlest guests. State Parks, Panola Mountain and Red Top Mountain
Volunteer for State Parks Day
Volunteers of all ages are welcome to volunteer at Panola Mountain State Park and Red Top Mountain State Park during State Parks Day. Join park staff and volunteers at Panola Mountain and plant local wildflowers and clean litter from the lake shores. Head to Red Top Mountain to pitch in as volunteers improve the Outdoor Classroom.
