the scoop:

In 1936, a few dozen spunky citizens decided to spruce up Atlanta by planting dogwoods throughout town and hosting the first annual Atlanta Dogwood Festival. Today, the festival has blossomed into a weekend-long event featuring artists, musicians, a kids’ village, good food, and gorgeous blooms. Be sure to read all about it before you go to make the most of your visit.
