After many months of prepping and planning, Buckhead’s newest baby boutique on the block has arrived. And much like the new neighborhood newborn, we couldn’t wait to sneak a peek. Read on to learn more about this locally-owned labor of love.
Building a Brand
The Buckhead boutique marks owner and designer Sude Dellinger Peta’s second Feather Baby retail store. Previously, the modern heirloom layette and toddler collection “Frisk” (sizes newborn to 5T) was only available through 300 other children’s boutiques nationwide in addition to a Decatur location. This Alabama-born, multi-tasking mama (of triplets!), boasts a previous pr experience sharpening her stilettos in the music and fashion industry so we expect to see even more fabulosity as this “Baby” blossoms.
Nothing But The Best
Made from Peruvian pima, Feather Baby clothing is not only uber-soft but eco-conscious. Using only water-based dyes, Feather Baby’s stylish designs are made with artisanal hand-screen printing, so you can feel good knowing no sweatshops or harmful chemicals are involved.
The boutique is full-service, with gift wrapping and shipping all included gratis. “Shopping for a baby should be fun and stress free. We love it when we can elicit giggles of joy from our customers,” explains Peta.
Peta’s perfect prints are an ideal mix of sweet and stylish. “This season my inspiration for a onesie was Jane Fonda in Barbarella,” Peta says with a laugh. The smocked gowns, rompers and bubbles will be your wee one’s wardrobe staples.
The store is open Tuesday to Friday: 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Saturday: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; and Sunday: 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. The store is closed on Monday.
