It’s time to give those teachers their due, parents. Not only have they worked hard all year teaching your tots, but they’ve also given you between three and seven hours of grown-up time (or at least, not-as-many-kids-time) a week. For that, we must thank them, and luckily Atlanta has plenty of great goodie options for those who teach our littles to love learning.

Atlanta MADE
Head to the Westside to take your pick of a well-curated collection of gift options at Atlanta MADE, a store dedicated to partnering with over 70 local artists and artisans. Our favorite options for the other leading ladies (and gentlemen) in your kids’ lives? HollyBeth Organics’ Grits and Honey scrub, or any of Vella Mode’s handcrafted jewelry.

This Atlanta based gift store and paperie is a one-stop shop for any type of gift, but for the teachers, we love their personalized selection. What better way to say “you’ve earned it” than a personalized Vino2Go tumbler and a bottle of your favorite libation?

Piece of Cake
They’ve been as sweet as they can be all year long, if even through gritted teeth and frequent deep breaths. Why not pick up something for them to share with their own family, other than “you won’t believe what happened today in my classroom” stories? Our favorite gift options aren’t the cakes (though they’re awesome); rather, check out the tins of lemon shortbread cookies and cheese straws.

Grits Bits
They may not remember your kiddo in twenty years, but they won’t forget getting a box of cheddar cheese grits biscuits from you at the end of the year. These things are killer, and come in assortment of flavors (though we like the cheese grits, ourselves). Add to the grits biscuits a stack of Kiss My Grits cocktail napkins and every teacher at the school will be hoping your kiddo lands in her class next year. They’re that good, y’all.

MudHutt on Etsy
This Atlanta native turns out crazy cute ceramics that put the old coffee mug and Starbucks gift card routine to shame. We love her “blessings” dishes, which are personalized with a teacher’s name and can be from one student or the whole class, but she is a crafty one and will work with you if you have something different in mind.
