Just add cake? Yes, birthday parties can be that simple (and stress-free) when you book entertainment that not only travels to the location of your choice, but also provides professional instructors, so you’re off the hook for herding the pack—until it’s time to blow out the candles, that is. So sit back, relax and let these full-service mobile parties (and your happily entertained imps) do all the exerting.

Game Truck
When this 50-foot truck—a mobile gaming theater—arrives at your doorstep, it’s a safe bet you’ll spy nary a guest for the party’s two-hour duration. Designed for ages 6 and older, each climate-controlled trailer is equipped with enough couch space for as many as 20 guests—along with dozens of multiplayer games for X-Box 360, Playstation 3 and Nintendo Wii. The non-stop entertainment (along with instructions and distribution of controls and tips) is manned by an on-site GameCoach—so the only time you’ll need to snap guests to attention is when it’s time for cake and refreshments. At your house, but not in your home—game on!

Yelling - in Game Truck_square

This kids-centric mobile spa is the spa-tacular answer to every daughter who has ever begged to tag along with mom for an afternoon of pampering. A one-stop shop, SpaPartyz allows mom the chance to sit back and relax while company hostesses (who both clean up and set up, ohm), transform your home into a space so serene, you’ll barely recognize it. Every “Spa Girls” package, suited for ages 5 and up, comes with two hostesses, spa stations for the birthday girl and her guests (think manis, pedis and nail art) and a sparkling beverage to boot. Optional add-ons range from makeup applications and all-natural chocolate facials to pink waffle-weave robes for the duration of the party, a candy buffet and karaoke machine rental. You may never go to the spa alone again.

Fun Bus
Climbing furniture, hanging upside down, karate chopping toys, bouncing off the mini trampoline (and the walls)—that might sound like a typical day in your kid’s play room (on a good day), but thanks to a former school bus turned mobile jungle gym called the Fun Bus, parents can check their inner worry wart at the door. The bright-green, fitness-minded bus arrives at the location of your choice with two trained instructors who will direct the tumbling, sliding, sailing and swinging fun for as many as 15 children while mom, dad and their friends enjoy an hour off—not to mention adult conversation. Now that’s a party.

Big Thinkers
Attention, all budding scientists. If slime excites you, rocket launches make you roar and beakers of bubbling potions make you boil, it’s a sure bet the experiments conducted by Big Thinker’s white-lab coat scientists (Miz Wiz or Captain Catalyst) and their special assistant (the birthday kid) will cause a radical reaction! The 45-minute show—best for ages 4 and older—is sure to please, especially when guests learn how to make their own cotton candy, or leave with their own home-made batch of slime.

Buckhead Bounce
Having a blockbuster of a party is easy when you roll out the red carpet and provide a lawn for screening your kid’s favorite film from a giant inflatable movie screen. Factor in rentals like a dozen bright-yellow child stools, a popcorn maker and a hot dog steamer, and you’ll transform your backyard into a mobile theater even the adults will get psyched about. Though after-dusk is best (it’s nearly impossible for screens to compete with the sun), ask about using a spacious garage or other generous-sized dark space. Buckhead Bounce’s rental package includes the speakers, projector and a DVD player. The only question mark left here is choosing the right DVD. Take a bow; the end.
