The Jewish holiday of Passover begins at sundown Monday, April 14. While there are plenty of Easter egg hunts around town, trying to find ways to celebrate the traditional holiday of Passover with your kids can be like searching for that golden egg. Check out these Atlanta-area Passover events that are sure to get your little bunnies hopping.
Afikomania! Passover Family Fun at the MJCCA-Zaban Park
The Marcus Jewish Community Center is hosting a Passover family event that is a perfect opportunity to get the little ones involved in some Passover fun. Look forward to enjoying Passover songs, crafts and a performance by the Charoses Players. Don’t forget to check out the Matzah topping bar!

Passover Retreat at Ramah Darom
Ramah Darom is a Jewish overnight camp and retreat center that is focused on Jewish learning for all ages. They are offering a Passover vacation to enjoy with the whole family. With hundreds of amazing activities there will be plenty for the kiddos to do. Spend some time gaining wisdom from distinguished scholars. Then head out for some fly fishing, waterfall hike or campfire. Don’t forget the marshmallows!
Bonus: While you’re at Ramah Darom, you and your brood can attend a Communal Seder led by a scholarly rabbinical leader or, if you rather, enjoy your own private Seder.

First Night Seder: Shabbat Atlanta
Shabbat Atlanta is hosting a causal all ages Passover Seder at NEX Atlanta. Join other families and community members for this kid- friendly event. The ticket price includes a choice of drink main dish, side dishes, soup and dessert. Grab your tickets—they’re $25 and for kids 12 and under they are reasonably priced at $5.
Bonus: There’s also a chance to volunteer in exchange for a place at the Seder table.

The General Muir: First or Second Night Seder Dinner
The Atlanta Delicatessen The General Muir is holding both a first and second night Seder Dinner. With a thorough gourmet menu there will be something that is sure to please even the littlest family member. Tickets are $48 a person and a Seder plate is optional for $20. Don’t forget to bring your own haggadah!
