Go wild this weekend with family-friendly activities for all creatures great and small. Take tiny tots to learn all about baby animals during the Adventure Cubs program at Zoo Atlanta. All ages will enjoy “The Greatest Show On Earth” as Ringling’s latest show comes to town. Tune in for the Atlanta Symphony’s concert that schools tots in the classics. Spend Sunday at a puppet show that supports a good cause, or venture out to John’s Creek for a posh princess tea.

Adventure Cubs: Babies, Babies, Babies
Learn all about animal babies during this month’s hands-on program that allows you to explore different toddler-friendly concepts about animals, go on a Zoo tour, explore and play at interactive learning stations, and meet an animal ambassador up-close. Topics and activities are all designed specifically for the developmental needs of 3 and 4-year-olds. Sat., 10 a.m., Zoo Atlanta, $18 for members, $24 for non-members (cost is for one adult and one child and includes zoo admission). Ages 3-4. Event details.

Built To Amaze!
Andre McClain, the circus’ ringmaster and America’s favorite cowboy, takes the Ringling Bros reins accompanied by his horse, Comanche, and leads his funny and mischievous super circus supervisors to create “The Greatest Show On Earth.” More than 110 performers, both human and animal, have been assembled to showcase heart pounding performances. Tchaikovsky Discovers America!
Based on actual historic events, this story tells of the great composer’s arrival in New York for the grand opening of Carnegie Hall in 1891, and his adventure-filled trip to Niagara Falls. Audiences will enjoy more than twenty-five excerpts of the composer’s music — woven into the drama, as two performers recreate historical incidents from the composer’s life, and act out stories from his famous ballets. Sun., 1:30 & 3:30 p.m., Atlanta Symphony Hall, $15-20. All ages. Event details.

 

Wish Tales
Piccadilly Puppets presents Wish Tales, three stories about wishing: “The Knee High Man,” “The Frog Prince” and “Little Orphan Animal”. All proceeds benefit Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. Sun., 2 p.m., Landmark Diner Side Door Lounge, $18 for members, $10. Ages 3-8. Event details.

Tea With “Frozen” Princess Elsa
Olivia’s Dollhouse Tea Room in Johns Creek hosts a Valentine’s Day-themed tea with “Frozen” Princess Elsa. Activities include dress-up, makeup and three course tea party. In addition, princesses will receive a keepsake photo with Princess Elsa, a cute Valentine’s Day favor to take home, an etiquette lesson and a Valentine’s Day craft.
