Great Smoky Mountains Dinosaur Train
All aboard this ‘pre-historic” ride is filled with music, stories and activities.  Based on the popular PBS Kids Television series, all ages are sure to enjoy this adventure filled train ride that includes music and stories, plus all kids receive a Nature Trackers Club guidebook to use at the activities area to during your layover—and, of course—an opportunity to meet the favorite T.rex, Buddy!  See website for additional dates and times. National Ice Cream Day Celebration
Learn how to make ice cream with a Blue Bell representative. This hands-on activity will include a complimentary sampling for all participants. Plant a Wonderland
Design a mini garden with a magical stone, a mythical creature and a fantastic plant during this drop-in family program. Sat., 11 a.m. to 12 p.m., Atlanta Botanical Garden, $6/child plus Garden admission (Member $5/child). All ages. Event Details.

Paddle and Picnic at Riverside Park
Bring your kids and paddle upstream with us to Roswell’s Riverside Park. Along the way we explore a marsh and old beaver dam, and then play on the playground with some naturalist-led games. Bring a sack lunch and drinks (no alcohol and no glass containers) for a picnic along the river, and feel free to borrow our ice chest. To beat the heat, we’ll pass out water squirters for the paddle home! Sat., 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Chattahoochee Nature Center, $40 General Public/$30 CNC Members. Ages 6 and up. Event Details.

Summer Fun Celebration
During this event, your girl and her best gal pal will enjoy a delicious meal, join in colorful activities, make tropical crafts—including a mini beach tote for her doll.
